FAQ

How Are Payouts Calculated at Funded Guru?

The short answer: your payout is based on the profit above your initial capital, minus any applicable buffer. The formula differs slightly between Instant Funding and 2-Step accounts.

Instant Funding payout formula

  • Gross = Balance − Capital − Buffer
  • Net = Gross × Payout Split %

The buffer is the 2% profit buffer that must be maintained at all times on Instant Funding accounts. Only profit above that buffer is eligible for withdrawal.

  • Example: $100,000 account. Balance is $112,000. Capital is $100,000. Buffer is $2,000 (2% of initial). Gross = $112,000 − $100,000 − $2,000 = $10,000. At a 90% split, net payout = $9,000.

2-Step Challenge payout formula

  • Gross = Balance − Capital
  • Net = Gross × Payout Split %

No buffer applies on 2-Step accounts.

  • Example: $100,000 account. Balance is $112,000. Capital is $100,000. Gross = $12,000. At a 90% split, net payout = $10,800.

What happens to the account balance after a payout?

Once a payout is processed, the account balance is updated:

  • New Balance = Old Balance − Gross

Using the 2-Step example above: new balance = $112,000 − $12,000 = $100,000. The account resets back to the capital level.

What happens to trading while a payout is being processed?

Trading is suspended on that account from the moment you request a payout until the payout is fully processed. Once it's done, you can resume trading. This applies to both Instant Funding and 2-Step funded accounts.

Do all trades need to be closed before requesting a payout?

Yes. All open positions must be closed before a payout request can be submitted.
