Challenge Rules

Why Is My Account Suspended or Inactive at Funded Guru?

The short answer: there are three main reasons an account gets suspended or closed: a rule breach, 30 days of inactivity, or a payout request in progress. Each has a different outcome and different next steps.

Reason 1 – Rule breach

If you breach the daily loss limit, overall drawdown, the 1% combined risk rule on Instant Funding, or any other rule, your account is closed immediately and permanently. A breached account cannot be reinstated. Any profits that hadn't been withdrawn are forfeited. You can purchase a new challenge at any time – there's no ban or waiting period for standard rule violations.

Reason 2 – Inactivity

Funded Guru requires at least one trade every 30 consecutive days on every active account. If that window passes without a single trade, the account is automatically closed. This applies to Phase 1, Phase 2, and funded accounts on both programs.

There's no warning before closure. Once 30 days without a trade has passed, the account is gone and any unwithdrawn profits are forfeited. If you know you'll be away from trading, place at least one trade before the 30-day window expires.

Reason 3 – Payout in progress

When you submit a payout request, trading on that account is suspended until the payout is fully processed. This is not a breach – it's a temporary hold. Once processing is complete and your balance is updated, trading resumes automatically.
